Thank you for visiting Thornton Kennels' website.

We have been raising adorable, healthy pups in Southeastern North Carolina for approximately 35 years. We specialize in small breed pups- Yorkshire Terrier, Bichon Frise, Miniature Dachshund, Lhasa Apso, Maltese, Miniature Pinscher, Pomeranians, Shih Tzu, Poodle, Cocker Spaniel, Malti-poo, Yorkie-poo, Shih-poo, Peek-a-poo, Cocker-poo, Pom-a-poo, and yes, even Dorkies! We enjoy our dogs immensely, but have never been in the business of showing dogs. We strive to raise healthy, breed correct, high quality playful pups. Our goal is to provide our customers with a healthy puppy who will bring years of joy to them and their families.

While we do not show our dogs, our dogs are registered with several widely recognized kennel clubs. We have dogs registered with AKC and UKC and APRI. Different kennel clubs handle different breeds, some of our dogs are registered with multiple kennel clubs. 

Our pups will come with a health guarantee which requires an evaluation of your new pup by your veterinarian, not ours. All of our pups will receive a minimum of one puppy vaccination and weekly deworming until they leave our facilities to go to their new home with you.
